Software authenticity
Every license sold on VendKeys.com is 100% genuine. We source from authorized resellers, surplus volume licensing programs, and legitimate region-priced channels — all of which fall within the EU "exhausted licenses" framework established by UsedSoft v. Oracle (2012).
We never sell cracks, keygens, activator-generated keys, or any license whose chain of custody we cannot verify. If a publisher revokes a key after sale (rare, but possible with grey-market volume keys), our refund guarantee covers it — see below.
Activation guarantee
About 98% of orders activate cleanly on the first try. The remaining 2% are typically resolved within hours via a replacement key sent at no cost. We track activation success rates per supplier and de-list suppliers whose activation rate drops below 95%.
You always retain the right to a refund if a key fails to activate within the refund window — replacement is offered as a faster alternative, not as a substitute.
24-hour refund policy
You can request a full refund within 24 hours of receiving a license if it fails to activate. Refunds are processed back to the original payment source: card refunds clear within 1-3 business days; crypto refunds are sent back to the address you specify within 24 hours of approval.
The 24-hour window starts when we email you the license, not when you click "Buy". We extend the window without question if you contact us before it expires.
Refunds are denied only when the license has been activated and is working — i.e., buyer’s remorse on a successfully delivered digital product. This is the standard for all major software marketplaces, including direct-from-publisher purchases.
Privacy & data retention
We collect the minimum data needed to deliver your purchase. Most of what other marketplaces store about you, we do not.
Specifically:
- No card data stored on our servers — Card2Crypto and our crypto rails handle settlement; we never see card numbers
- No real name required for crypto purchases — pay with Bitcoin Lightning or Monero and we know an email address and a license key, nothing else
- Order data retained for 12 months for support purposes, then permanently deleted (or anonymized for aggregate stats)
Security
The site uses HTTPS everywhere with HSTS preloading. License keys delivered by email are sent over TLS-encrypted SMTP and never stored in plain text in our database.
Our platform infrastructure (web servers, database, payment rails) is operated under standard industry security practices: encrypted backups, principle-of-least-privilege access, audit logs on every administrative action.
Customer support
Our /contact form is the primary support channel, with a typical reply within a few hours. The in-page live chat widget on every page is an alternative if you prefer a synchronous conversation.
We use a single email mailbox so every request is searchable, traceable, and answered by a human — no chatbots, no ticket portals, no "please rate this interaction" prompts.
What we do NOT sell
To make our position explicit:
- We do not sell cracked or pirated software
- We do not sell keygens, activators, or KMS-style fake activation tools
- We do not sell account credentials obtained through unauthorized means
- We do not sell licenses whose chain of custody we cannot verify
